The 15 days Uganda, Rwanda & Kenya safari is the perfect opportunity to experience the best of wildlife and culture in 3 of Africa’s top safari destinations. Expect gorilla tracking adventures, game drives, boat rides, nature walks and cultural encounters.
Day 1 – Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi Forest –
After an early breakfast, prepare for a transfer from the airport or Kampala city to Bwindi Forest, one of the most popular parks in Africa renowned for being the home of over half the last survive ng mountain gorillas in the world. Check in the lodge in the evening.
Day 2 – Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest + Batwa cultural visit
After an early breakfast, our guide will pick you up from your safari lodge / hotel as early as 6 am and take you to the gorilla trekking headquarters for briefing & last minute preparations. Gorilla trekking requires fitness and good hiking boots , you will be led by an UWA guide in search of the mountain gorillas and it normally takes between 4 to 6 hours. You will be given a hour in the midst of gorillas to take pictures and observe them feed and interact. Enjoy your lunch in the forest before going back to the lodge for dinner & overnight stay. You can opto to visit the Batwa pygymies if you still have some energy left , interact and learn abouot their way of life as you take pictures.
Day 3 – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth
After an early breakfast, prepare for a trip to Queen Elizabeth passing via the Isasha sector where you get chance to spot the tr5ee climbing lions.
Day 4 – Game Drive & Boat Cruise
Enjoy an early breakfast and prepare for a morning game drive through the Kasenyi track where you will get chance to spot a variety of wild animals & birds including elephants, buffaloes, lions, warthogs, antelope species among others. Return to the lodge for lunch , in the afternoon prepare a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel , one of the best places to watch hippos and crocodiles in Uganda. After the boat cruise return to the lodge for dinner & overnight stay.
Day 5 – Transfer from Queen Elizabeth Park to Rwanda
Enjoy your breakfast and check out of the lodge , prepare for transfer to Rwanda passing via Kisoro. Road trips lasts about 7 hours. Stop over for lunch in Kigali before checking in your hotel or safari lodge.
Day 6 – Kigali city tour
After an early breakfast, prepare for a trip around Kigali city visiting genocide memorial sites, the Kandt museum, Inema art center plus shopping malls before you embark on tour to Nyungwe forest.
Day 7 – Transfer to Nyungwe forest
Our guide will pick you from your hotel/ safari lodge and drive you to Nyungwe forest, a popular park in Rwanda renowned for having the highest density of chimpanzees plus other 11 primate species that include the Golden monkey, red tailed monkeys, baboon, black & white colobus monkey, vervet monkey among others. Check in the lodge for dinner & overnight stay.
Day 8– Chimp tracking & canopy walk
Adfter an early breakfast, prepare for a 2 to 4 hours trekking adventure in the Nyungwe forest. Expect to encounter the chimpnazees and variety of other primates during the trek. After lunch you will then go the exciting forest canopy walk, the first one in East Africa. Enjoy aerial views of the park and also get chance to take some pictures while up there. Return to the lodge for dinner & over night stay
Day 9- Transfer to Volcanoes Park
After an early breakfast, prepare for a journey to volcanoes park, arguably Rwanda’s top national park home to the infamous mountain gorillas. Check in at the lodge for dinner & overnight stay.
Day 10 – Gorilla trekking & Iby’iwachu cultural village
After an early morning breakfast, prepare for transfer to Musanze , the gorilla trekking headquaters where you get briefed about the gorilla trekking activity to occur. A guide will lead you into the ranges and a trip normally lasts about 4 to 6 hours. Take pictures and observe the gorillas in their natural habitat before heading back to the safari lodge / hotel for lunch. In the after noon , you will be driven to the Iby’iwacu cultural village which just a few miles away from the park. Now called Gorilla guardians village, this is the best place where you will get chance to experience Rwanda culture through music, dance and drama.
Day 11– Golden monkey tracking
Apart from gorilla trekking, you will also get an extra treat of primates with a visit to the golden monkeys, another popular primate in East Africa. Our guide will transfer you to Kinigi offices for briefing before you embark on a the golden monkey trekking adventure. Golden monkey tracking takes about 3 to 4 hours , take pictures and observe these cute primates play around, feed and interact. Transfer back to the lodge for dinner & overnight stay
Day 12– Transfer from Rwanda To Nairobi passing via Kampala
Check out of the lodge after breakfast and prepare for long journey back to Kampala form where you will connect to neigbhouring Kenya. You will arrive in Nairobi the next day , check in at the lodge / hotel for dinner & overnight stay.
Day 13- Nairobi city tour
Enjoy a guided trip around Nairobi city visiting shopping malls, the Girrafe center, Bomas of Kenya, Maasai market, Karen Blixen museum among other places you may wish to visit when in the city. Enjoy lunch at a restaurant in the city before checking in to your hotel for dinner & overnight stay.
Day 14 – Transfer to Maasai Maara
After an early breakfast, prepare for transfer to Maasai mara, arguably Kenya’s top national park and home of the infamous annual wildebeest migration. Road trip lasts about 5 to 6 hours so you will be at the park just in time for lunch. Check in and relax as you wait for the next day’s adventure.
Day 15 – Game drive & cultural visit to the Maasai village
After an early morning breakfast, prepare for the game drive of your life taking you around the Mara with a stop over at the Mara river for stretching. Expect to encounter a variety of wild animals including elephants, giraffes, zebra, kobs, wildebeests, crocodiles, leopards, buffaloes, lions, antelope species to mention but a few.
After you have enjoyed your packed lunch, prepare for cultural visit to the Maasai village. Get chance to interact and dance with one of the most ancient tribes on the African continent. Take pictures and buy souvenirs to show back home. After a 2 hours stay at the village , prepare to go back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay ending the tour.
Day 16 – Transfer to Nairobi city at airport, hotel or residence.
