Lake Mburo Safari

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
We start our tour to Lake Mburo National park heading out South West of Kampala on Masaka Road through Mpigi, make a stopover at the Equator crossing for coffee and the swirling water experience among other minor activities. Proceed West on Masaka Road to Mpambire a drum maker’s hub and you will get a chance to see how other African musical instruments such as adungu and xylophone are made. Continue to the park surrounded by vast cattle farmlands that are synonymous with the Ankole Long horned cattle and wild animals like zebras and antelopes stray grazing in private farmlands. Arrive in time for lunch at the hotel. Relax at the hotel in preparation for the day ahead.

Day 2: Game drive & Boat Cruise
After breakfast. Our day starts with an early morning game drive within the park where animals like zebras, impalas, waterbucks, warthogs, buffaloes, oribis, giraffes, leopards among others. Also, many bird varieties are seen on this drive, such as cattle egrets, little bee eaters and black headed herons.
Have lunch at the shores of Lake Mburo while waiting for the boat to start the afternoon boat cruise. The boat cruise on the lake, will take you to see water dwelling animals like crocodiles, schools of hippos, other animals including monitor lizards and birds like African fin foot, plovers, African fish eagle and many other water birds. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Return Kampala
Head out of the park through Nshaara Gate and head back to Kampala
